Coaching Niches That Work Today

The world has changed over the past decade and it is still in the midst of even more change. People who have superior educations and had great high paying jobs now find themselves lost. People who were once financially stable now find themselves with their retirement being eaten up just to pay their current bills. Many baby boomers are finding they are reaching retirement but don’t know what to do or how to make that transition.

Difficult economic times cause great changes in people’s lives and they need to help moving forward. Change is difficult for almost everyone that includes positive change and negative change. All change is hard for people as well as insecurity as to what the future holds.

Coaching Clients are Ready for Change

At the beginning of this economic down turn many clients were not able or willing to pay for coaching help to deal with these changes. Now the coaching industry is beginning to see an increase in people seeking help. I believe this is due to the duration of this time of change. Many clients have tried everything they know to make the adjustments but have found they are still stuck and no longer willing to tolerate the pain that they feel. In other words people are becoming willing to try something new or different like Life Coaching.

Coaching Niche Matters

As a coach this is a great time to change or choose a new niche that addresses some of these issues. Retirement coaches, change coaches, couples coaches, financial coaches, and business coaches are experiencing an increase in demand. Many people have had to make or are facing dramatic changes in their lives and are seeking help. Put you energy toward the largest and most common problems you see people in your area facing. I am a baby boomer so I have found that many of my peers are dealing with the idea of retirement in an uncertain economic environment. I am finding that they have concerns financially and they are just not ready to stop working but they are ready to work differently.

Life Coaching for Everyone

As coaches our time has come even if there has been no dramatic upward shift in the economy because people have had time to exhaust all of their efforts and resources and are still not find an answer to their challenges. We must keep in mind that budgets are tight so we have to recognize and accommodate this change as well. There are several ways to do this such as reducing the price of a coaching session and reducing the amount of time. Consider ½ hour coaching session rather than an hour. Group coaching is another way to reduce the cost to each individual client and still generate more income per hour for you.

Change is a constant in life and I see the changes happening now as a good thing for coaches and their clients. Clients are now willing to seek outside help and coaches are getting creative in structuring a workable pricing structure for clients. Take advantage of these changes and move toward the solution that best fits your niche and remember if your niche is not working for you then it may be time to pick another niche.

Learning about personal development is the number one way to guarantee you’re improving yourself in the best way possible. The world offers you lots of good advice on personal development, so reviewing the tips below and applying them where appropriate is well worth your time.

One interesting trait the might be worth developing is called “sexual capital.” This means to use your skills to charm others to get the things you want in life rather than your sexuality. Many people aren’t born with excellent social skills, but developing them can make achieving your other personal development goals easier.

Be pleased about all that you can do well instead of focusing on what you cannot do. Employ your skills, talents and abilities to make your personal development program successful. Instead of getting upset about skills you do not possess at this time, it is best to maximize the benefits and strengths and skills you excel at currently.

Treat yourself right by respecting your body. Listen to the signals your body is sending you, such as feelings of hunger or fatigue, and do what is needed in response. Doing this will make your body treat you better in the future. If you choose to ignore your body’s needs, there’s a good chance that it will ignore your wants.

They say that speaking and listening are equally important. Listening definitely applies when developing yourself. Make sure you listen to yourself. To better yourself as a person, you need to listen to yourself.

Slow down and count to ten in your head before you speak in anger. Take a cleansing breath and focus on something positive. Make certain you remain calm and steady, and only say what it is you intended to say.

Don’t avoid decision on this road, as they may be an opportunity that you miss. Make decisions based on your own knowledge and what you can learn from your research. Your good instincts will develop through your successful decisions. Even bad decisions serve a purpose, as they teach valuable lessons. When you make a wrong choice, you are likely to make a better one next time.

You really have to put yourself first in order to be of any help to anyone else, and accept that you will never be able to please everyone. This does not require you to put your happiness above everything and everybody else, but you should make sure to do things to make yourself happy. If you make sure that what you do is true to yourself and your ethics, you will be much happier with your personal development path.

Personal development begins when you identify what you value the most. You should try your hardest to prioritize what you consider important.

Like we talked about in the beginning, your personal development means you need to expand what you know. It is also important to apply this knowledge. There are many ways to begin personal growth. The more you’re able to apply the advice in this article, the more confident you’ll feel as a person.
